Hola,

Okay, first of all, thanks for navigating to this page in the first place! You could skip it completely and book your service without ever visiting it, but you're here and I'm so flattered/honored that you want to know more about me.

As I assume is the case for most of us, I struggle with knowing what to put here, because what makes me, me? What are the important parts of all that, that you want to know about, that will make you feel more comfortable? I don't know, but for me, it's just hearing/seeing people be human. So I'll just yap here for a minute about things that are important to me.

I'm a California native, but I joined the Army as a Medic when I turned 18 and I traveled the world for the next decade - I lived in 5 states, and two countries, and visited triple that! I loved being a soldier and it allowed me to fulfill dreams that I had since I was a little girl. After those 10 years, I transitioned out of the Army and into my master of social work degree - the medical field was fun, but mental health held more passion for me. It was during this time that I started photography as a creative outlet and a side hustle while in graduate studies, and since then it was continued to grow into something that I am so, so grateful for and proud of.

Today, I balance being a forensic social worker, a photographer, and a mom to a one-year-old. All three things that fill my cup and my heart. I'm also a HUGE book worm (big yap point), I love cooking, hiking, working out, gardening, crafting, and trying new things!

Overall...the best part of all of this for me is creating lifelong connections. I genuinely want to hear your story and learn more about my clients + their families. And I hope that our time together feels like pals hanging out + laughing!

I look forward to creating together.

Creatively,

Sami

FAQ

what should I wear to my shoot?

A. I have recommendations as far as styles, colors, and coordination but this varies based on the location we're shooting at and the type of shoot we're doing (boudoir, couples, etc). When you book with me, I will send this to you and more!

I'm awkward in photos, will you tell me how to pose?

A. Almost every client I've shot with starts by saying they're awkward, not very photogenic, or don't know how to pose. Don't worry about this! My job is to help you feel comfortable and confident.

what if I need more than what your packages offer?

A. If these packages do not meet your needs, or your financial budget is extremely tight but you really want photos - send me an inquiry. I'm willing to work with you to create the perfect package for your needs. Additionally, wedding packages are not available online.

what if I don't want my boudoir photos shared?

A. I understand that these photos are very personal, and I will absolutely respect your wishes if you prefer for your photos not to be shared.

should I get my hair and make up done for my shoot?

A. If you have the means, it is always nice to get your hair and make up professionally done, but NOT necessary. Photoshoots that may be better for professional make up and hair services would be engagement, boudoir, and elopement. If you do decide to do this, I have both a hair stylist and make up artist who have agreed to grant my clients a discounted rate.
